Double the Hunt: OBT 2 Test Dates Announced
Following feedback from the first Open Beta, and in response to high demand, Capcom has decided to run another playtest. Get your hunting gear ready as the Monster Hunter Wilds OBT 2 will be taking place on two separate weekends:
Test Period 1: February 6th - 9th, 2025 (PT)
Test Period 2: February 13th - 16th, 2025 (PT)
These two periods give you a second chance to experience the game early and provide even more opportunities to get a taste of what is to come, and these dates are not far away so be prepared to jump in and start hunting. The Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Dates are approaching, so be prepared!
Platforms Confirmed: Hunt on Your Favorite System
Just like the first test, this Open Beta Test will be available on the most popular platforms. That means that both PC and console players can get in on the action. Here are the confirmed platforms for OBT 2:

So what can you expect from this second beta test period? You may have played the first one, and are wondering if it is worth the time, or maybe you missed it and want a taste of what you can expect. Good news! Monster Hunter Wilds OBT 2 has some surprises up its sleeve.
Alongside all the content from the first Open Beta, you'll also be going on the hunt for a familiar face, from past installments, as the return of Gypceros, is finally here!. This infamous monster is known for its deceptive attacks, so be sure to bring your best gear and strategies.
More details about additional content are expected to be released, so be sure to keep an eye out for more information on that!. But for now, get ready to hunt Gypceros and see all the other content that was included in the previous beta.

Use the Same Account: Make sure you use the same platform account that you used during the Open Beta when you play the full game.
Internet Connection: You must be connected to the internet to claim the bonuses in the full game.
Create a Character: Download the Beta, create your hunter, and get out there into the field to experience this game, and all the content it has to offer.
Limited Availability: While the "Open Beta Test Bonus Pendant" and the "OBT 2 Bonus Item Pack" are unique and can only be claimed once per account, these rewards might be available as purchasable DLC at a later date.

Full Game Release Date & What To Expect
The full release date for Monster Hunter Wilds is set for February 28th, 2025. This is where you’ll see the full scope of the game, including all the improvements and adjustments that the development team have been working on. Please note that while OBT 2 is a chance to play the game, it will NOT contain feedback improvements from the previous beta.
These updates include balancing and weapon mechanics, along with general performance improvements and bug fixes. These will only be included in the main game, so while you might have feedback from this beta, that will only make an impact on the final product when it releases on February 28th, 2025.
